Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do I'll still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.
She watched, as he stumbled across the doorway, her heart breaking with every wobbling step he took. She carefully stepped towards him, only to have him lash out, pushing her away. She stepped back, her face wracked with the pain of losing him. His eyes were wild and unknowing, bloodshot and spinning slightly. He wandered past her and collapsed down onto the bed.
You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much than to drown in your love and not feel your reign.
Her eyes connected with Jon’s, the pain evident in his eyes as well, She shuddered, a soft whimper escaping from within her as he wrapped his arms around her. Whispered into her ear words of comfort, soft little white lies that give her the hope she needed to carry on.
Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.
She sat alone on the couch, staring wordlessly, thoughtlessly out the window to the street outside. She put her head in her hands and closed her eyes, the tears rolling down her cheeks.
You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.
When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while and all my fragile strength is gone.
He watched her silently from the bedroom, knowing that he was the cause of the pain on her face. He closed his eyes and pulled the door over the carpet, shutting it softly. He sighed, flopping back against the bed once again. Wishing he could change. If nothing but for her.
Set me free, leave me be. I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall, just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.
She turned, hearing the soft click of the door, and frowned, closing her eyes as she realized she’d been watched. She sighed and leaned back against the couch, turning softly to the door. Then she changed her mind, and got up, carefully opening the door and slipping down onto the bed beside him. Carefully wrapping her arms around him as she cried softly against his shoulder.
I live here on my knees as I try to make you see that you're everything I think I need here on the ground.
But you're neither friend nor foe though I can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know is that you're keeping me down
He turned, wrapping his arms around her in return. As he murmured into her hair, a soft and serious “I’m sorry” his own tears slipped over his cheeks as he held his everything in his arms. He wanted to stop. He knew he could if he tried harder. He would try harder. He would break this.
Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
For Her…
